Over the past eleven years, I have been fortunate enough to perform in some of the UK’s best-loved theatres and concert halls, alongside many amazing performers.

After graduating from my studies, first at the Yehudi Menuhin School, and then the Royal College of Music, I started my career on The National Theatre’s production of The Light Princess, by Tori Amos. This helped catalyse my love for theatre in all its forms. Since then I have gone on to hold chairs on Amadeus, again at the National Theatre (for two separate runs, original cast, and revival), Committee at the Donmar Warehouse, The Great Christmas Feast at The Lost Estate, where I also took on the roll of assistant Musical Director in 2022. From early 2023 until March 2024 I was the Violin/Viola/Cover Conductor chair on Disney’s The Lion King Tour of the Uk, Ireland and Zurich, and I am currently the violin chair on the UK Tour of Dear Evan Hansen.

I have also enjoyed many years of depping in the West End, on West End Tours and at other theatres, on shows such as Come From Away (UK Tour), Guys & Dolls (The Bridge Theatre),The Phantom of The Opera (Her Majesty’s Theatre), Les Miserables (UK Tour), The Sound of Music (Chichester Festival Theatre) and Bridges over Maddison County (Menier Chocolate factory).

Whilst much of my work has been focussed around the theatre, I have also enjoyed a diverse playing career, performing with some of the UK’s leading orchestras such as The Philharmonia Orchestra, The London Mozart Players, Manchester Camerata, and The Royal Northern Sinfonia. In 2014, following the end of my run on The Light Princess, I joined the Southbank Sinfonia fellowship scheme which gave me the opportunity to perform within many different styles and ensembles, all over the UK and in Europe. I have since been happy to be asked to return and play with the orchestra, both as an extra for various projects but also as principal second violin on their collaboration with the NT, Amadeus (mentioned above).

Since 2016 I have performed regularly with The Paraorchestra, Charles Hazlewood’s ensemble, comprising of both disabled, and able-bodied musicians. With this ensemble I have performed shows such as The Nature of Why by Will Gregory, which debuted at The Bristol Old Vic, performance art pieces such asThe Virtuous Circle at the 2024 BBC Proms in Bristol, and recorded string parts on records for Paul Weller.

Whilst primarily a violinist, I can also double on the viola, mandolin, and some basic guitar and piano. I have a baritone voice and professional experience as both a conductor and assistant MD.
